CEI’s growth over the years can be attributed to our on-call and staff augmentation services that we provide our clients. In 2000, we began priming our own construction administration on-call contracts with ADOT and the City of Phoenix.  Over the years, we have provided engineers and inspectors to MCDOT, Pima County, and the cities of Tucson, Chandler and Mesa, to name a few.

Many of our on-call contracts are primarily staff augmentation services, and several require full-service construction administration teams. For ADOT, we have provided hundreds of engineers and inspectors (at all level) who serve as an extension of the agency’s field staff working on projects around the state.  For the City of Phoenix Development Services, we provide senior level inspectors whose focus is to inspect developers’ construction permits in the City’s right of way. For both agencies, we have held consecutive on-call contracts for nearly 20 years and our staff have worked on hundreds of projects, ranging from minor paving rehabilitation and to complex multi-million design-build interchange and freeway projects.

CEI continues to provide supplemental services to ADOT. Over the years, we have had project managers, engineers, plan reviewers and technicians who have worked in the state’s Right of Way, Roadway Design, Environmental, and Statewide Project Management Groups offices for multiple contracts, some spanning 15+ years.
